Company Dinner
Dear students,
On Monday the 2nd of May, C4 is organizing a great career event: The C4 Company Dinner! For only 15 euros you will get a full dinner in an actual restaurant and you will be able to talk to two companies about anything you want.
At the dinner, four companies will attend, of which you can choose two to talk with. With both of them, you will enjoy four nice courses and some drinks to discover the career possibilities they have in an informal conversation. As usual in our career related activities, we will also provide you with enough food and drinks.
Are you a Master student? Then you are lucky! If there are more than 36 people subscribed to this activity, Master students will be given priority.

Roseman Labs
Roseman Labs is a fast-growing Dutch start-up that builds innovative privacy technology. We have developed a decentralized data analytics solution that enables organizations to analyze data across multiple parties without the need for these parties to share their underlying data.
This innovation removes barriers for use cases that were previously very difficult; for example, with our technology, health care providers can now study the effectiveness of treatment pathways across multiple organizations without trusting their data to a third party. Our technology enables our clients to achieve more while still satisfying strong ethical and privacy standards. Our solution is built on a well-established cryptographic technique called secure multi-party computation (MPC). We have developed a high-performance implementation of MPC as the core of our software solution. Our cryptographic stack is modern C++, while the middleware is in Python and the front-end is in JavaScript. We are advised by Associate Prof. Berry Schoenmakers, who is also the inventor of the open source MPyC Python framework.
We are looking for enthusiastic engineers to help us with building our solution. We are currently a team of eleven people – four of us are PhD cryptographers, and six of us studied at the TU Eindhoven! NS Traineeships
The traineeships at NS will start again in September 2022. Recruitment will start in April and we would like to invite you as young talent to join us at one of our events. During these events you will learn more about the different traineeships: IT, Engineering and Finance. There will also be a traineeship from Procurement online, there are no events for this but recruitment will also start in April.

Then the in-house day on 26 April is for you: it is physically in Utrecht, current trainees are present and serious games are played. If there are more applications than there are places available, a CV selection will take place.

Currently we are looking into the possibilities to run our FMS in a virtual machine. This might also be a container based approach. You will be responsible for investigating the possibilities for virtualization and design and implementation of the chosen solution. Possible solutions for investigation can include filesystem for virtual machine, docker, kubernetes, LXD, etc.

Within the ETP team we believe decisions should be based on data and not on gut feelings, however, many tax professionals are struggling to use data for their decision making. Data is not available to them and if it is available, they are unable to leverage it. That is why we created ETP Core, a data warehousing solution for tax professionals capable of storing, processing and analyzing large volumes of data and integrates with a myriad of systems, automating ingest, data flow, analysis and reporting and displaying results in embedded dashboards. Using ETP Core, we take care of the technical aspects so our clients can focus on the insights we offer them.

The core of our Virtual Data Lake uses techniques from modern cryptography to enable unique privacy features. However, the core would be worthless without an intuitive client-facing application – and that’s where you come in! You will play a pivotal role in designing and developing new features in our customer-facing applications as well as designing and building efficient back-ends and smart API-layers in-between. This is an all-round engineering position, meaning that the challenges you solve will engage your front- and back-end development skills, as well as your UI-design skills.
